Professional Statement
Dr. Flowers completed her fellowship in Rheumatology at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. She earned her MD at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She then stayed on to complete her Internal Medicine residency and her residency fellowship in Health Policy at George Washington University. Dr. Flowers attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Thought and Analysis.
Dr. Flowers is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the New Jersey Rheumatology Association, and the Medical Society of NJ. Dr. Flowers has expertise in arthritis, lupus, sjögren’s syndrome, systemic sclerosis, myositis, gout, bursitis, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and raynaud’s as well as other inflammatory diseases. She has a special interest in helping patients navigate autoimmune diseases during conception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
Her practice philosophy is to collaborate with her patients, their primary care physicians, and other specialists to provide the highest level of care possible. She prides herself in being a good listener as well as educating her patients so that they can be involved in the medical decision-making process.

Dr Flowers is a good listener and always willing to try a different medication, giving hope when you're feeling at your worse. She will.recommend PT or a visit to pain management to help sort through different issues. My husband and I both recommend Dr Flowers to work through your joint issues.
