Kelly E. McGuire, APN

Kelly McGuire earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MCPHS University in Manchester, New Hampshire. She began her nursing career at Hartford Hospital where she gained extensive experience in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit before serving as a Nursing Supervisor. Prior to nursing, Kelly worked as a collegiate athletic trainer building a strong foundation in musculoskeletal health and injury prevention. 

Kelly takes a proactive, personalized approach to preventive care, focusing on early identification of potential health concerns and reducing disease risk through recommended screenings, vaccinations, and healthy lifestyle habits. Recognizing that preventive care is not one-size-fits-all, Dr. [Name] tailors recommendations to each patient's age, medical history, family history, lifestyle, and personal risk factors—working collaboratively with patients to weigh the benefits and risks of available options and develop a care plan aligned with their individual health goals.

For new patients, initial visits are centered on building a strong foundation of trust and understanding, with time dedicated to learning each patient's medical history and health concerns. As patients become established, visits focus on reviewing overall health, addressing new concerns, discussing test results, and planning next steps together. Kelly believes patients should have a clear understanding of their own health, including what factors can improve or worsen their conditions, and encourages patients to come prepared with questions to make the most of their time together—ensuring they feel informed and empowered in their care decisions.

What Kelly values most about practicing family medicine is the opportunity to care for patients of all ages, often across multiple generations of the same family. Following patients through the different stages of life allows for deeper, more personalized care built on long-term relationships. Kelly finds it especially rewarding to get to know patients and their families over time—celebrating milestones and providing support through life's challenges alongside them.

A Sparta, New Jersey native, Kelly is excited to return to the area and join Consensus Medical Group. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys staying active and spending time with her family.
